Reset your driver password
Forgot your Upper driver password? You can't reset it from the app — your admin resets it from the web Users page, then you sign in and set a new one.
If you can't sign in to the Upper driver app because you've forgotten your password, you can't reset it yourself from the app. Your admin or dispatcher resets it for you from the web app, then sends you the new password so you can sign back in.
Depending on your workspace, your role may be labelled Driver or Technician — the steps are the same either way.
When to use a reset
You sign in to the driver app with your own email and the password Upper emailed you when your admin added you. If you still know that password and just want a different one, you don't need a reset — change it yourself from the Change Password screen in the app instead.
Ask your admin for a reset when you're locked out and can't sign in at all.
Get your password reset
Contact your admin or dispatcher
Reach out to whoever manages your routes and tell them you're locked out and need your password reset. Have ready the email address you use to sign in so they can find your account quickly.
Wait for your new password
Your admin resets the password from the web app and sends you the new one. (See what they do below.)
Sign in with the new password
Open the Upper driver app, enter your email and the new password, and sign in. Your assigned routes appear, ready to navigate.
Once you're back in, you can set a password you'll remember from the Change Password screen in the app — no admin needed, as long as you know the current one.
What your admin does on the web app
Share this with your admin if they're not sure where to look. From the web app, an admin opens the Users page, finds your name, opens the row menu beside it, and chooses Reset User Password. They then send you the new password.
If your admin also needs to force you out of every signed-in session — for example, on a lost phone — the same row menu has a Logout From All Devices option.

Receive an assigned route
Upper auto-assigns routes — there's no accept or reject. When dispatch shares a route to your driver app, it appears ready to preview and start.
Scan a barcode at a stop
Scan a package barcode in the Upper driver app to confirm the right item before you complete a stop. Barcode scanning is enabled by your admin.
