Completed stops when offline

Complete stops in the Upper driver app even with no signal. Your work is held on your phone and syncs to your dispatcher once your connection returns.

You can keep working a route in the Upper driver app even when your phone loses signal. The app runs the route offline, and the stops you complete are held on your phone until your connection comes back. When it does, your work syncs up so your dispatcher can see your progress.

Most workspaces use driver and delivery labels (Proof of Delivery, Delivery Options). If your workspace is set up for service work, you may see Technician, Proof of Service, and similar labels instead. The behavior is the same.

Completing a stop with no signal

Mark a stop complete the same way you normally would — there is no separate "offline mode" to switch on. The app keeps running the route, and whatever your workspace asks you to capture at a stop (such as a photo, signature, or notes) is recorded on your phone.

Work the stop as usual and mark it complete or skip.

Capture any proof your workspace requires for that stop.

Move on to the next stop. Your completed stops are held on your phone while you have no signal.

When your phone reconnects, your completed work syncs so your dispatcher can see it.

If your route may take you through areas with weak or no coverage, it is worth confirming the route is fully loaded on your phone before you set off. See Download routes for offline use.

When your work syncs

Your completed stops stay on your phone until the app has a connection again. Once you are back online, your work syncs up to your dispatcher.

Keep the Upper app installed until your work has synced. Avoid removing or reinstalling the app while you still have completed stops that have not gone through.
