Mobile Driver App

Download the Upper driver app

Get the Upper driver app on iOS or Android. Install from the App Store or Google Play, scan the QR code, or use the link in your invitation email.

The Upper driver app is a free phone app for drivers. Dispatchers plan and send routes from the web app at my.upperinc.com, and drivers receive and run those routes on the app. Install it from the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android.

This guide uses driver and delivery labels (such as Proof of Delivery). If your workspace is set up for field service, you may see Technician and service labels instead — for example the download button reads "Download Upper Route Planner App for Technician." The app is the same; only the wording changes.

Before you start

  • A phone running iOS or Android (if you cannot find the app in your store, see Minimum OS version requirements)
  • Access to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android)

Install from your phone's store

Open your app store

On iPhone, open the App Store. On Android, open Google Play.

Search for the app

Search for Upper Route Planner. Several apps have similar names, so confirm the publisher is Upper Inc. before installing.

Tap Get or Install

The app downloads and installs to your phone's home screen.

You can also open the store listing directly:

Open the listing link on the phone you'll use for routes so it installs straight to that device.

Other ways to get the app

Scan the QR code

If your dispatcher's web dashboard shows the onboarding step Install Upper Driver on your phone, you can scan its QR code with your phone's camera. Scanning opens the correct store automatically — the App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android.

Use your invitation email

When your dispatcher adds you as a driver, Upper emails you an invitation. Open that email on your phone to find the download links. After you install and sign in with your email and password, your assigned routes appear ready to run. See Accept your driver invitation.

From the web dashboard

The web app has a Download app section in the left sidebar with App Store and Google Play links.
