Upper Help
Mobile Driver App

Install and log into the app

Install the Upper Driver app from the App Store or Google Play, then sign in with the email and password from your invitation. Reset your password if you don't have one yet.

After your dispatcher adds you as a driver in Upper, you'll receive an email from Upper with a password for your account. This page walks through installing the Upper Driver app and signing in for the first time — and the same steps work if you're switching phones or reinstalling.

Your workspace may label your role Driver or Technician depending on how your company set up Upper. The setup steps are the same either way.

Before you start

  • The email from Upper — Contains the password for your account. Check the inbox for the email address your dispatcher used to add you.
  • A smartphone — The Upper Driver app runs on iOS and Android. It is not available on desktop.
  • An internet connection — You need signal to download the app and sign in for the first time.

Install and sign in

Install the Upper Driver app

Install the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). You can also scan the QR code shown in the Upper web app's onboarding checklist with your phone camera — it opens the right store for your device. See Download the driver app for the store links.

Open the app

Launch the Upper Driver app once it finishes installing.

Enter your email address and the password from the email, then sign in.

Start receiving routes

Once you're signed in, any route your dispatcher shares with you appears in the app automatically, ready to navigate.

Keep your sign-in details somewhere secure. The app keeps you signed in across sessions, but if you switch phones or reinstall, you'll need them to sign in again.

Already have an account

If you've signed in before — for example after reinstalling — just open the app, enter your registered email and password, and sign in.
