Generate proof of delivery reports

Pull proof of delivery records in Upper by filtering the Route Plan Detailed Report and exporting POD columns like Photo, Signature, and Completion Time.

Upper stores proof of delivery (POD) data inside the Route Plan Detailed Report. Filter the report to the period and routes you need, choose the POD columns, and export the record as a file.

Workspaces can relabel "driver" as "technician" and "delivery" as "service," so your account may show Technician Name and Service instead of Driver Name and Delivery. The steps and column names are otherwise the same.

Why this matters

POD records are the proof layer for your operation. Customer disputes, contract audits, and compliance reviews all eventually ask for evidence that a stop was completed. The Detailed Report is where that evidence lives — photos, signatures, completion times, and driver notes, one row per stop.

Before you start

  • POD captured by drivers — Photos, signatures, and notes only appear in the report if the driver recorded them at the stop. Whether each is required is set per workspace in Settings.
  • Routes completed — POD data populates once a dispatched route's stops are completed.

Generate a POD report

Open Analytics

In the left sidebar, go to Track → Analytics.

Choose the Detailed Report

Open the View by dropdown and select Route Plan Detailed Report. This report shows one row per stop.

Filter to the stops you need

Open the Filter icon (top-right) to show the filters panel, then set:

  • Date Range — your delivery period
  • Select Route Plan — limit to specific routes (optional)
  • Drivers — limit to specific drivers/technicians (optional)
  • Stop Status — set to Success to focus on completed stops, or leave All

Click Apply.

Pick the POD columns

Click the Customize Columns icon (top-right) to open the Edit Column modal, then check the POD-related fields:

  • Photo
  • Signature
  • Notes From Driver
  • Notes For Team
  • Completion Time
  • Stop Status
  • Reason (the fail/skip reason, useful for failed stops)

Drag the selected columns to reorder them, then click Done.

Export the file

Click the Export button (top-right). In the Export modal:

  • Set the Export File Name if you want something other than the default.
  • Choose a Format (CSV or XLS).
  • Optionally tick Send e-mail when Export is complete.
  • Click Start Export.

What POD data the report includes

The Route Plan Detailed Report can include these proof-related columns:

  • Photo and Signature captured by the driver
  • Notes From Driver and Notes For Team
  • Completion Time
  • Stop Status and Reason

Photos and signatures export as links, not embedded images. For a single printable file with the images shown inline, generate the per-route PDF instead — go to Route Plan, open the route's three-dot menu, and select Detailed Report (PDF).
