Customize the dashboard view
Change the date range on Upper's Dashboard to reshape your KPI cards and charts, and learn how Enterprise teams can request a custom dashboard layout.
The Dashboard in Upper Route Planner is your operation at a glance: a row of KPI cards plus Route Performance and Driver Performance charts. The layout is fixed, but you control the reporting period with the date-range picker, so the same Dashboard can serve a morning ops check, a weekly review, or a month-end recap.
Labels in your workspace may read Technician and Service instead of Driver and Delivery. The wording is configurable per workspace — the controls and steps below work the same either way.
Before you start
- The Dashboard opens from the home page after you sign in at my.upperinc.com.
- The five KPI cards appear on every plan. On the Starter (free) plan, the Route Performance and Driver Performance sections are blurred behind an Upgrade to View button with a PRO badge — the date-range picker still applies to the KPI cards you can see.
Change the date range
The date-range control sits in the top-right of the Dashboard. Changing it updates every card and chart on the page at once.
Open the Dashboard from the home page.
Click the date-range control in the top-right. The button shows the range that is currently active.
Pick one of the presets — Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days — or choose Custom to set your own start and end dates.
The KPI cards, Route Performance charts, and Driver Performance charts all refresh to reflect the period you selected.
What you can shape on the Dashboard
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Date range | Sets the reporting period for the whole Dashboard — Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or a Custom range |
Need to slice the data by a specific route or driver — not just by date? That level of filtering lives in Analytics (left sidebar → Track → Analytics), where the Filters panel adds route plan, driver, status, and other filters on top of the date range.
Request a custom layout (Enterprise)
The Dashboard layout itself is fixed across plans. Enterprise customers who need a different arrangement — different cards, custom groupings, or a board-style view — can ask the team to set one up. Email support@upperinc.com and describe the structure you need.
Common scenarios
- Morning ops check — Set the range to Yesterday for a quick scan of completed routes, missed stops, and on-time rate.
- Weekly review — Set the range to 7 days and capture the KPI cards and Driver Performance charts for your team meeting.
- Monthly recap — Use 30 days (or a Custom range) to compare the period against your targets.

Customize report parameters
Filter Upper analytics reports by date, driver, route, or status, then choose which columns appear and in what order. Your column choices are saved per report.
Data retention policy
Upper keeps your route and delivery history available in Analytics. For long-term records — audits, compliance, year-over-year — export regularly and archive externally.
