Available pre-built reports
Upper ships five pre-built analytics reports — Route Plan Summary, Detailed, SMS, Email, and Driver Timesheet — for daily checks, audits, and exports.
Upper ships a set of pre-built reports in Analytics, each focused on a different part of your operation — route performance, stop-level detail, notifications, and driver hours. Pick the report that answers your question, apply filters, then view or export. Which reports appear depends on your plan and workspace settings.
Your workspace may show Technician and Service labels instead of Driver and Delivery (for example "Technician Name" or "Total Service Stops"). The labels are configurable per workspace — the reports and behavior are the same.
The pre-built reports
Open Analytics, then use the View by dropdown to switch between report types.
| Report | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Route Plan Summary Report | One row per route — route name, team, date, estimated vs. actual duration, status, and stop counts (total, delivered, skipped/missed) |
| Route Plan Detailed Report | One row per stop — addresses, contact details, time windows, arrival and completion times, stop status, proof of delivery (photo, signature, notes), and service time |
| Route Plan SMS Detailed Report | One row per SMS — recipient, SMS type, message, status, cost, and any failure reason |
| Route Plan Email Detailed Report | One row per email — recipient, delivery type, message, and email status |
| Driver Timesheet Report | One row per shift — clock-in and clock-out times and locations, shift duration, and status |
The SMS and Email Detailed Reports and the Driver Timesheet Report only appear for workspaces whose plan and settings include them. If a report is not in your View by list, it is not enabled for your workspace. The Summary and Detailed reports are available to everyone.
Access a report
Open Analytics
In the left sidebar, open Track → Analytics. The page header reads Analytics.
Choose a report
Click the View by dropdown and select the report you want.
Click the star next to a report to make it your favorite. Your favorite report loads automatically the next time you open Analytics.
Apply filters
Click the Filter icon (top-right) to open the filters panel, set your filters, then click Apply. Available filters depend on the report:
- Date Range — every report; defaults to the last 7 days
- Select Route Plan — Summary, Detailed, SMS, and Email reports
- Drivers — every report
- Route Plan Status — Summary and Detailed reports
- Stop Status — Summary and Detailed reports
- SMS Type and SMS Status — SMS report
- Email Type and Email Status — Email report
- Status (Clocked In / Clocked Out) — Driver Timesheet report
The Route Plan Status filter uses friendly labels — Upcoming, Dispatch, Dispatched, Active, Completed — that map to Upper's route statuses: Draft, Ready for Dispatch, Dispatched, In Transit, Completed.
When to use each report
| Question | Report |
|---|---|
| How did we do overall? | Route Plan Summary Report |
| What happened at each stop? | Route Plan Detailed Report |
| Did the SMS notifications go out? | Route Plan SMS Detailed Report |
| Did the email notifications land? | Route Plan Email Detailed Report |
| How many hours did each driver work? | Driver Timesheet Report |
For most teams the Route Plan Detailed Report becomes the workhorse. Set your columns once with Customize Columns — Upper saves the selection per report, so every later view and export uses the same layout. The Driver Timesheet Report has a fixed set of columns and cannot be customized.
Customize and export
- Customize Columns — the table/grid icon (top-right) opens the Edit Column dialog. Search for columns, check or uncheck them, drag to reorder, and use Restore Settings to return to the defaults. Your choices persist per report.
- Export — the Export button (top-right) opens the Export dialog, where you name the file, choose a format, pick Default or Custom fields, and optionally check Send e-mail when Export is complete.
