Average stops per route
Average Stops per Route is a Dashboard KPI card in Upper. Change the date range to see how heavily your routes are loaded over any period.
Average Stops per Route is one of the headline KPI cards on your Dashboard in Upper. It shows the average number of stops across the routes in the selected date range — a quick gauge of how much load each route is carrying, useful for capacity planning and comparing one period against another.
This article uses the default driver/delivery labels. Some workspaces show Technician and Service instead — the wording is configurable, but the KPI works the same way.
Where to find it
Average Stops per Route is one of five KPI cards on the Dashboard:
- Total Routes Completed
- Total Stops Completed
- On-Time Delivery Rate (shown as On-Time Service Rate in service-mode workspaces)
- Missed/Skipped Stops
- Average Stops per Route
These five cards stay visible on every plan.

Find the KPI cards
The five KPI cards sit across the top of the Dashboard. Average Stops per Route is one of them.
Set the date range
Use the date-range control at the top right to choose the period you want the average to cover.
Change the date range
The date-range control sits at the top right of the Dashboard and offers these options:
- Today
- Yesterday
- 7 days
- 30 days
- 90 days
- Custom
Pick a preset, or choose Custom to set your own start and end dates. The average recalculates for whatever range you select.
Check the same range each week (for example, the last 7 days every Monday). A steady reading week over week tells you your route sizes are holding; a drift up or down is worth a closer look before it affects on-time performance.
What the metric tells you
- Whether your routes are loaded heavily or lightly on average
- How route sizes compare from one period to another
- A starting point for capacity planning across your team
