Set your timezone
Upper Solo auto-detects your timezone. Change it manually in Settings > User Settings if needed. Timezone drives route scheduling, time windows, and analytics.
Upper Solo auto-detects your timezone on first login, but you can override it manually. This single setting controls how times display across the dashboard, reports, customer notifications, and the driver app.
Why this matters
Timezone affects every time-based field in the system — including time window calculations during route optimization. Setting it correctly before creating routes prevents customer-window mismatches and report confusion.
Before you start
- Plan requirement — Available on every plan.
- Permissions — Admin role to change account-wide settings.
Step-by-step: set your timezone
- Open Settings by clicking the Gear Icon.
- Go to
General > User Settings. - Find the Timezone setting.
- Select your preferred timezone from the dropdown.
- Click "Save".
What timezone affects
| Area | Impact |
|---|---|
| Route scheduling | Times displayed in your timezone |
| Time windows | Customer delivery windows align to your timezone |
| Analytics | Dashboard and reports use your timezone |
| Notifications | Customer notification timestamps |
| Driver app | Drivers see times in the account timezone |
If you operate across multiple timezones, set the timezone to your primary dispatch location. All team members on the account share the same setting.
Common scenarios
- You moved your dispatch hub to a new region — Update the timezone, then audit any open recurring routes whose stop windows were authored against the old timezone.
- Customer notifications show times that are off by several hours — Almost always a timezone misconfiguration. Fix in User Settings; new notifications use the corrected timezone.
