Access settings
Open Upper Solo settings from the gear icon in the top nav to manage user preferences, schedules, delivery options, service areas, notifications, and automations.
Upper Solo keeps every account preference behind a single settings panel. This page shows where to find it and what each category controls.
Why this matters
Settings apply to your whole account — optimization defaults, service times, distance units, notification templates, and more. Knowing where the panel lives saves time when you need to adjust how routes are planned or how customers are notified.
Before you start
- Plan requirement — Available on every plan, including Starter.
- Permissions — Admin role to see all settings. Dispatch Manager has limited access.
Step-by-step: open settings
- Log in to the Upper web dashboard.
- Click the Gear Icon in the top navigation bar.
- The Settings panel opens with categories listed in the left sidebar.
To edit your profile, click your Profile Icon in the top right corner and select "Update Profile".
Settings categories
| Category | What it controls |
|---|---|
| General > User Settings | Service time, distance units, optimization preferences, vehicle type, navigation |
| General > Schedule Settings | Working hours, break time, start/end addresses, pickup settings |
| General > Delivery Options | Proof of delivery requirements, custom delivery statuses |
| Coverage > Service Area | Allowed and restricted delivery zones |
| Notifications | Email and SMS notifications, templates, tracking pages |
| Automations | Automated reports and scheduled tasks |
| Webhooks | Third-party integrations via webhooks |
Settings apply account-wide unless overridden at the driver or stop level. Changes take effect immediately on your next route action.
Common scenarios
- You want to switch from miles to kilometers — Open
Settings > General > User Settingsand change the Units value. - You want to update your company logo for tracking pages — Click your Profile Icon > "Update Profile" instead — branding lives on the profile, not in Settings.
- You're a Dispatch Manager and the Billing section isn't visible — That's expected. Billing and user management are Admin-only.
