Change email address
Email addresses cannot be changed directly in Upper Solo. Admins create a new user with the new email; Owners contact support to update the Owner email.
Upper Solo treats your email as your unique account identifier. You can't edit it directly from Settings — but there are two paths depending on your role.
Why this matters
Your email is your login credential. Direct edits would create account security risks, which is why Upper requires a controlled process for changes.
How to change your email
The path depends on whether you're an Admin/Dispatch Manager or the Account Owner.
If you're an Admin or Dispatch Manager
Ask the Owner or another Admin to:
- Create a new user account with your new email.
- Set the same role and permissions on the new account.
- Remove your old account.
- Sign in with the new email.
If you're the Account Owner
Contact Upper support to request an Owner email change:
- Live chat — Click the chat icon in the bottom right corner of your dashboard.
- Email — support@upperinc.com.
The support team will verify your identity and process the change.
Transfer any settings or records tied to your old account before removing it. Driver accounts can be removed and re-added with a new email by an Admin.
Common scenarios
- You changed your work email after a name change — As an Admin, ask the Owner to create a new user under your new email and delete the old one.
- You sold the business — Contact support to transfer Owner email along with full account ownership.
