Archive and unarchive routes

Upper has no separate archive button. Routes stay in Route Plan until you delete them. Use Filter and the date range to hide old routes from view.

Upper Route Planner does not have a separate archive or unarchive button. Every route you create stays in your Route Plan list until you delete it. If you came from a tool with explicit archive controls, the good news is you do not need them — you can keep completed routes in place for review and reporting, and use the Filter and date range to control what shows on screen.

Why there is no archive button

Completed routes are kept in your route list so you can open, export, or report on them later without moving them anywhere. Instead of archiving, Upper gives you two tools that cover the same needs:

  • Filter — narrow the list down to the routes you care about right now, so older ones drop out of view but stay in the system.
  • Delete Route — permanently remove a route you are sure you will never need again.

There is no way to "unarchive," because nothing is ever archived. A route is either in your Route Plan list (visible or hidden by a filter) or permanently deleted. Deletion cannot be undone.

Hide old routes from view (the archive-like workflow)

Use a filter to focus on current work. Old routes stay saved and searchable — you just stop seeing them by default.

Open Route Plan

From the left sidebar, open the Plan group and select Route Plan. The list is titled My Route Plan.

Open the filter

Use the Filter dropdown or the Search field at the top of the list.

Narrow to the period or routes you want

Filter down to the date range, status, or routes you are working on. Older routes drop out of the visible list.

Bring routes back when you need them

Clear the filter or change the range, and the hidden routes reappear. Nothing was removed.

Keep records before you delete

If you ever do delete a route, the data goes with it. To keep a copy for billing, compliance, or reference, export it first from the per-route menu:

  • Export Addresses, Detailed Report (PDF), Print Manifest, and Summary Report are all available from the three-dot (…) Action menu next to a route.
  • You can also pull a Route Plan Summary Report from the panel on the right of My Route Plan, filtered by Date Range, route, route status, or stop status.

Exported files live outside Upper, so they are not affected by anything you delete later. If you need a long-term paper trail, export on a regular schedule rather than relying on routes staying in the list.

Common scenarios

  • You want to clean up a long list — Filter by date or status to focus on current work. Old routes are still saved and searchable; you just will not see them by default.
  • You need long-term records — Export the Detailed Report (PDF) or a Summary Report before you remove anything. Exports are not tied to the route staying in the list.
  • You want a route gone for good — Delete it. See Delete routes. This is permanent.
