Send delivery photos to customers

Share proof of delivery photos, signatures, and notes with customers in Upper through the tracking page link in the After Delivery notification.

Upper makes proof of delivery visible to customers through the tracking page link in their After Delivery notification. The photo, signature, and notes a driver captures all appear on that page — there's no separate email attachment to send.

When a customer can see the delivery photo, the signature, and any notes the driver left, they don't call to ask whether something actually arrived. The tracking link doubles as a delivery receipt: fewer disputes, less back-and-forth, and a clean record both sides can reference.

This article uses the driver / Delivery labels. A workspace configured for service businesses may instead show technician / Service (for example, "After Service" in place of "After Delivery"). Both refer to the same features.

How it reaches the customer

Photos aren't attached to the message itself. They live on the tracking page, which the customer opens from the link in their After Delivery notification.

Driver completes the stop in the mobile app

The driver marks the delivery complete and captures proof — a photo, a signature, notes, or any combination.

Customer receives the After Delivery notification

The completion sends the After Delivery message by email or SMS, depending on the channels you have turned on.

The notification includes the tracking link. Opening it loads the tracking page in any browser.

The tracking page shows the proof of delivery

The page displays whatever proof was captured and is turned on in your settings — photo, signature, notes, and the completion time.

Choose what proof appears

What shows on the tracking page is controlled in Manage > Settings > Branded Tracking, on the POD tab ("Proof of Delivery Display"). Each item is a toggle, and all four are on by default.

Open the POD tab

Go to Manage > Settings > Branded Tracking and select the POD tab.

Turn the proof items on or off

  • Show POD Photo — when on, a Photo Display Size dropdown lets you choose Thumbnail, Full Size (default), or Gallery View.
  • Show Signature — shows the captured signature.
  • Show Delivery Notes — shows the driver's completion notes.
  • Show Completion Timestamp — shows the exact completion time.

The customer only sees proof that was actually captured at the stop. If the driver didn't take a photo or collect a signature, that item simply doesn't appear — even with the toggle on.

Where proof helps most

  • Disputes about whether something arrived — send the customer the tracking link; the timestamped photo and signature settle it.
  • Doorstep drops with no one home — the photo shows exactly where the driver left the package.
  • High-value or compliance-sensitive deliveries — signature plus photo plus completion time on one page acts as the audit trail.
