Change the company name in notifications
Update your company name in Upper from Settings > Notifications. It fills the [Company Name] tag used across your email and SMS notification templates.
Set the company name that customers see in your Upper notifications. The name you enter fills the [Company Name] tag wherever it appears in your email and SMS message templates, so customers recognize the business sending the update.
Getting the name right takes about thirty seconds and makes your delivery updates look trustworthy and consistent with the rest of your communication.
Labels can vary by workspace. This article uses the default delivery labels. A workspace set up for service businesses may show "Service" wording instead, but the company name setting works the same way.
Before you start
- Where it lives — The Company Name field is at the top of the Notifications settings page, in the NOTIFICATIONS group.
- How it's used — The name fills the [Company Name] tag in your notification templates. It only appears in a message where that tag is part of the template.
Change the company name
Open Settings
Go to Manage > Settings, then open Notifications in the NOTIFICATIONS group.
Edit the Company Name field
At the top of the page, find the Company Name field and click the pencil icon to edit it.
Enter your company name
Type the name exactly as you want customers to see it.
Save
Save the page. New notifications that include the [Company Name] tag will use the updated name.
SMS messages are short — each notification message has a 140-character counter and is billed by segment. Keep the company name concise so your templates have room for the rest of the message.
Where the name appears
The company name fills the [Company Name] tag, which is built into the default notification templates. For example, the default Out For Delivery email subject reads "Your order from [Company Name] is on the way." Customers see your name in any email subject or message body, and any SMS message, where that tag is included.
To check or change which messages use the tag, open the template editor for each notification and look for [Company Name] in the Subject or Message. You can add or remove it like any other tag.
The company name on the Notifications page is separate from your logo and colors on the customer tracking page. To brand the tracking page itself, use Settings > Branded Tracking.
