Add the delivery address to notifications

Show the delivery address to customers in Upper notifications by turning on Show Delivery Address for your branded tracking page, reached from every message.

Every customer notification Upper sends can carry a tracking link, and that tracking page is where customers see exactly where their order is going — including the delivery address. Turn on Show Delivery Address for your branded tracking page so the destination is visible to anyone who opens a message.

A workspace set up for service businesses shows Show Service Address instead of Show Delivery Address. Both control the same setting.

Why this matters

For customers with more than one address on file — a B2B account, a household with both a home and an office, or a service business with several sites — seeing the destination removes any doubt about where the order is headed. The address sits right on the tracking page, so customers can confirm it before the driver/technician arrives.

How customers see the address

Your notification messages include a Tracking Link tag. When a customer opens that link, they land on your branded tracking page. The delivery address is one of the details that page can display, controlled by a single toggle in your tracking settings.

Open your branded tracking settings

Go to Settings > Branded Tracking.

Open the Display tab

Select the Display tab. It controls what information appears on the customer-facing tracking page.

Turn on Show Delivery Address

Find Show Delivery Address and make sure it is toggled on. (Service workspaces show Show Service Address.)

Save your settings

Save the page so the change applies to future tracking links.

The address only reaches customers who open the tracking page, so the Tracking Link tag needs to be in the notification templates you send.

Open notification settings

Go to Settings > Notifications.

Edit a template

Click the Pencil Icon on the notification you want to check — Out For Delivery, After Delivery, Missed Delivery, or Notify to Next Customer.

In the message, look for the [Tracking Link] tag. If it is missing, click Tracking Link in the Tags section to insert it.

Save the template

Save the template to keep the change.

Want to preview what customers will see before you send? The Preview tab in Branded Tracking renders a sample tracking card with your current settings, and each notification template has a "What your customers will see" preview pane.
