Edit contact information

Edit any saved Upper contact from the Action menu — update the address, name, phone, email, time windows, notes, and custom fields, then save with Done.

Keeping your address book accurate means editing in one place. When a customer moves, changes a delivery window, or updates a phone number, edit the saved contact in Upper and every route you build from that contact afterward picks up the new details.

Open a contact's Action menu on the Contacts page, choose Edit Contact, and the same drawer you used to create the contact reopens with the existing values filled in.

Before you start

  • Go to Manage > Contacts in the left sidebar and make sure you are on the My Contacts tab.
  • Editing one contact at a time is supported. There is no bulk-edit action for multiple contacts at once.

Your workspace may show Technician and Service labels instead of Driver and Delivery. These terms are configurable per workspace, so the field names below may read slightly differently in your account.

Edit a contact

Open the Contacts page

Go to Manage > Contacts and stay on the My Contacts tab. Use the Search box to find the contact you want to change.

Open the Action menu

In the contact's row, open the Action (…) menu and select Edit Contact.

Update the fields

The Edit Contact drawer opens with the contact's saved values. Move between the tabs to reach the field you need:

  • Basic Info — Full Name, Company Name, Address, Nick Name, Email, Phone, Service Time, Time Window, Notes, Stop Type, and Pre Assigned Drivers.
  • Parcel Info — the parcel picture for the contact.
  • Other Info — your workspace's contact custom fields. This tab appears only when custom fields are configured.

Save your changes

Select Done to save. Required fields (Full Name and Address, plus any required custom fields) must be filled in before the contact will save.

What you can edit

Every field on the contact record is editable from the same drawer:

  • Full Name and Company Name
  • Address (a normal address or a latitude,longitude pair)
  • Nick Name
  • Email and Phone
  • Service Time
  • Time Window
  • Notes
  • Stop Type
  • Pre Assigned Drivers
  • Parcel picture
  • Contact custom field values (on the Other Info tab)

A contact's time window carries through to the stop when you build a route. Update the window on the contact and every future route from that contact reflects the new constraint automatically.

Edits apply to the contact record and to routes you build from it afterward — not to stops already created on an existing route. If you change a time window, future routes pick up the new window while existing routes keep the original.
