Data retention
An overview of the data your Upper account holds — routes, stops, contacts, and performance history — and where to ask about how it's stored and handled.
Your Upper account stores the operational data you create as you plan and run routes. This article explains what that data is at a high level and where to get specifics about how it's handled.
This guide uses Upper's default driver and delivery labels. Your workspace may be set to show Technician and Service instead.
What your account holds
While your account is active, Upper keeps the data you create so it's available across the web app and the mobile driver app, including:
- Routes and stops — the routes you plan, the stops on them, and their statuses (Draft, Ready for Dispatch, Dispatched, In Transit, Completed).
- Contacts — customer and stop details you add or import.
- Proof of service — signatures, photos, and notes captured by drivers when a workspace collects them.
- Performance history — the metrics shown on your Dashboard and analytics, such as routes and stops completed and on-time service rate.
- Account and profile details — your company name, profile, drivers, and settings.
Closing your account
When you permanently delete your account from User Settings, you're removing your access to this data. Before you delete, export or save anything you'll need — see Delete your account for the steps and what to do first.
Permanently deleting your account cannot be undone. Save anything you need to keep before you start.
