How to set up Customer Notifications in Upper?

Setting up your delivery notification system ensures customers receive timely updates about their deliveries through automated email and SMS communications. This process customizes how your business communicates with customers throughout the delivery process.

Follow these steps to configure your notification system:

Step 1: Access Notification Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings > Notifications

  2. You'll see toggles for each notification type

Step 2: Basic Configuration

  • Company Name: This appears in all customer communications

  • Date Format: Choose how dates appear in notifications

  • Email Delivery Updates: Toggle to enable/disable email notifications

Step 3: Configure Each Notification Type

Click on any notification to customize:

  • Subject Line: Edit the email subject (44-50 character limit)

  • Message Content: Write your custom message

  • Preview Section: Shows exactly what customers will see

Step 4: Add Dynamic Information

Use these tags to personalize messages:

  • Company Name - Your business name

  • Delivery Date - Scheduled delivery date

  • Delivery Time - Expected delivery window

  • Arriving In - Time until arrival

  • Customer Name - Recipient's name

  • Customer Business Name - Business recipient name

  • Customer Email - Customer's email address

  • Customer Phone - Customer's phone number

  • Earliest Time - Earliest delivery time

  • Latest Time - Latest delivery time

  • Tracking Link - Live tracking URL

  • Signature - Delivery signature

  • Photo - Delivery photo

  • License Type - Vehicle license information

  • County - Delivery location county

Step 5: Enable SMS (Optional)

  • Toggle on Text Message (SMS)

  • Add balance to your SMS account (pay-per-message)

  • Set up auto-recharge to avoid service interruptions

  • Follow the same process as above to set up text notifications

Step 6: Save Settings

Click Save after making changes to activate your notification system.
